Another Very Mobile GForce Day
Mayur Anadkat | April 18, 2012 Good morning Seattle! The excitement at #GForceAmer is building, looking forward to seeing innovation in action #mobile #cctr @Genesyslab (via Twitter) Here we go with Day two of my very mobile Gforce. Does it look like Day one? Well, once these apps are embedded in your daily routine, the repetition is comforting. You know you can go back to your favorites and they will deliver. And you also know, there is an app out there for what you want to do; just gotta find it. So here is how I used my iPhone today - it was my alarm clock to wake me this morning. I ran a press briefing on the phone from the hotel room. While multi-tasking in a room without wifi -- used my phone as a hot spot to get my breakout slides finalized ... using CloudOn and Dropbox. Used texting to coordinate meetups with my co-workers. Set up a meeting using the calendar and MS Outlook app. Took lots of pictures -- here is a sample My iPad got a good workout today too. Used it to take notes during the press briefing and other meetings. Prepping for my breakout, I used my Ipad to play music (AWEditorium) to chill out. Did my breakout presentation using the VGA adapter to show the slides. Later, I didn't want to pay for wifi, so went to Starbucks across the street, worked on notes and presentation using my bluetooth keyboard and iPad with CloudOn and Dropbox helping GForce also has some fun and social time too. I went to the show reception and met up with one of our flagship customers. We decided to check out the nearest sushi joint but it was disappointing, so Yelp rescued us with a salad place where we ate, we watched the Tupac holographic performance - Awesome!!, and talked about the new mobile solution. Later I went to the Analyst dinner at the Pause Cafe and Wine Bar - my Yelp review is drafted and waiting to be published So now I am falling asleep with my phone charging up next to me. Can't wait to see it all come together tomorrow morning!
