Genesys Appoints James Budge as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer
Genesys today announced a key addition to its executive team with the appointment of James Budge as Chief Operating and Financial Officer. With deep technology and enterprise software experience and a proven track record of successfully guiding companies through strategic transformations, James will compliment Genesys’ existing management team as the newly stand-alone company plans its future growth and market expansion.
- At Genesys, James will serve as Chief Operating and Financial Officer, overseeing the global financial, legal, human resources and information technology organizations. Reporting to President and CEO, Paul Segre, James will serve on the company’s executive management team.
- With over 20 years of experience, James has a proven track record of success, managing everything from operations and infrastructure, public and private offerings, strategic transformations, and mergers and acquisitions. James comes to Genesys from Rovi Corporation where he played a significant role in the company’s impressive transformation and significant revenue growth. Over a near 7-year period, James helped grow Rovi’s revenues from $200 million to nearly $800 million including a corresponding 500 percent growth in profits. During this period, he also helped guide Rovi through 12 acquisitions while raising significant capital for growth and expansion.
- Prior to Rovi, James served as Chief Financial Officer of Trados, Inc., an enterprise management software provider. James also served as Chief Financial Officer of Sendmail, Inc., a secure email provider, and CrossWorlds Software, Inc., a provider of business infrastructure software.
- James holds a B.S. in Accounting from Brigham Young University.
