Genesys Rides in the Tour de Cure to End Diabetes and Raises Over $6,500
Genesys, a provider of customer experience solutions, today announced its commitment to the community by riding in the 2012 Tour de Cure organized by the American Diabetes Association. The ride will take place nationwide on Sunday, June 10. Fifteen employees comprising “Team Genesys” will complete the Silicon Valley Tour de Cure and have collectively raised over $6,500 to support the cause to end Diabetes.
- Tour de Cure riders are responsible for collecting donations to participate. The funds will support the American Diabetes Association, and the services they provide to the 25.8 million children and adults with diabetes until there is a cure. Genesys ranks as one of the top corporate team fundraisers, having collected over $6,500 in donations from friends, family and colleagues.
- Tour de Cure, is an all day event. Cyclists will start at 6:30 a.m. and will be riding throughout the day on one of five scenic routes through Palo Alto and Silicon Valley. After the rides, participants can enjoy the post-ride festivities, which include ceremonies, performances and refreshments, into the early evening at Lockheed Martin.
- By supporting and riding in the Tour de Cure, Genesys is demonstrating its commitment to the community and other important charitable organizations. Annually, through its “Make a Difference” program, Genesys actively supports local and community-based organizations and philanthropies such as Habitat for Humanity, food banks and others.
